Khoury Appointed Acting Associate Director, EGRP
I am pleased to announce that Muin Khoury, M.D., Ph.D., has agreed to serve as Acting Associate Director of the Epidemiology and Genetics Research Program (EGRP), Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), National Cancer Institute. Deborah Winn, Ph.D., has been serving as the Acting Associate Director of EGRP since 2006 and was promoted to the position of Deputy Director, DCCPS, at the end of 2008. Dr. Winn served simultaneously in both positions until Dr. Khoury's appointment.
Since 2007, Dr. Khoury has been serving as my Senior Consultant in Public Health Genomics through the Federal Government's Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program. He is also the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Office of Public Health Genomics (OPHG). Dr. Khoury will continue to serve as Director of OPHG while serving as Acting Associate Director, EGRP.
I would like to thank Debbie for her service as Acting Associate Director and welcome Muin to his new role in DCCPS.
