Registration Open for NCI Cohort Consortium Symposium
Registration is now open for the NCI Cohort Consortium Symposium, "When Bigger Is Better: Combining & Designing Cohorts for Power," on October 25, 2012, 8:30 am - 12:15 pm, at the National Institutes of Health's Natcher Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The Symposium will highlight accomplishments of the NCI Cohort Consortium, share experiences across different NIH Institutes in combining multiple cross-disciplinary and cross-Institute cohorts for power, describe advantages and constraints of launching "mega" cohorts, and identify issues in building and managing a portfolio of new cohorts across Institutes.
There is no registration fee; however, due to space constraints, registration is required and will be limited to 300 participants. For those unable to attend in person, the Symposium will be videocast.
If you would like to receive more information, view the agenda, and/or register for the Symposium, visit the NCI Cohort Consortium Symposium page. The Symposium is sponsored by the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program (EGRP) of the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences and the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics.
The NCI Cohort Consortium represents an extramural-intramural partnership involving a collaborative network of investigators, collectively responsible for 45 high-quality cohorts with more than 4 million people.
