EGRP Invites Researchers to Shape the Future of Cancer Epidemiology

The Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program (EGRP) recently published commentary in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention (CEBP) invites the cancer research community and other stakeholders to contribute their thoughts via the Program's Cancer Epidemiology Matters Blog about the major questions to be addressed in the next decade to impact public health. This opportunity to participate in strategic planning for cancer epidemiology comes at a time of great scientific advances coupled with resource constraints.

Throughout the summer, EGRP will query the research community to obtain input on several areas to be discussed further during a December 2012 workshop. Comments provided via the blog will be used to shape the workshop discussion and future initiatives.

The first question posed on the blog is: What are the major scientific questions that cancer epidemiology should address in the next decade to impact public health?
