NIH Sponsors Symposium on Statistics in Biomedical Research
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is sponsoring the "Statistics in Biomedical Research: Making and Translating New Discoveries" Scientific Symposium on Saturday, November 10, 2012, 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., at Natcher Conference Center on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. The Symposium is organized jointly by multiple statistical groups across NIH.
The meeting is for investigators in quantitative fields from across NIH and the biomedical research community, and it provides a forum for statisticians to exchange ideas about major, upcoming statistical issues that cut across different disciplines of medical research.
The meeting features invited talks from senior scientists and a poster session for junior investigators. Topics include statistical issues in clinical trials, infectious diseases, epidemiology and genetics, and risk modeling and public health applications.
Registration is free but is required.
