Breast and Colon Cancer Family Registries

For Research Collaborators: Initiating Collaborative Studies

The Cancer Family Registries (CFR) are designed to encourage international collaborative research. An Application and Review Process is available to investigators in the scientific community who wish to undertake collaborative research projects using CFR resources, i.e. data and biospecimen material. Investigators may apply to one or both Registries (Breast CFR and/or Colon CFR). The following documents provide an overview of the process for each registry:

More information on the available data and biospecimens available from the CFRs as well as the methods used to recruit participants and collect these materials can be found in the descriptive manuscripts cited below. Questionnaires and data dictionaries used by the CFR centers can be found on the CFR Informatics Support Center website hosted by Research Triangle Institute.
