Biography

Mr. Choudhry is a Program Director in the Epidemiology and Genetics Research Program's (EGRP) Clinical and Translational Epidemiology Branch (CTEB) and serves as EGRP's Grants Referral Officer.

He joined EGRP in 1999 as a Biomedical Information Specialist, and in 2001, was appointed a Program Director for EGRP's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. He later became an EGRP liaison with NCI's Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) Program, where he participated in several committees and co-chaired a workshop for Principal Investigators on Clinical Proteomic and Innovative Technology.

Prior to joining EGRP, Mr. Choudhry worked as a Biologist in NCI's Division of Extramural Activities' (DEA) Research Documentation Section on information retrieval and search activities related to scientific projects funded by NIH. He first came to work at NIH as a contractor in NCI's Cancer Chemotherapy Research Program with Microbiological Associates, Inc. In this capacity, Mr. Choudhry conducted studies related to antileukemic agents in animal models and was involved with research on immunotherapy and oncogenic viruses, for example, the Rauscher and Friend leukemia viruses.

Mr. Choudhry first came to federal service with NIH's Division of Research Grants (now the Center for Scientific Review). He has 35 years of experience with NIH grants, of which 10 years have been with EGRP.
