Biography
Ms. Guest is a Program Analyst in the Epidemiology and Genetics Research Program's (EGRP) Office of the Associate Director (OAD). Her work focuses on issues relating to genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and she is the Administrator of the Data Access Committee for NCI's extramural divisions. She is also a Co-Project Officer for the Cancer Genetics Network and is the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences' (DCCPS) representative to the NIH Social Work Research Working Group.
In 2008, Ms. Guest returned to EGRP from two years with NCI's Office of Advocacy Relations (OAR) where she was Executive Secretary for the NCI Director's Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG). The DCLG is an advisory body that makes recommendations to the NCI Director about issues of concern to cancer advocates, survivors, and caregivers.
She first joined EGRP's Office of the Associate Director as a Program Analyst in 2002. Before that time, she worked as an intern and Program Analyst for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), where she was involved in NIOSH responses to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City and the 2001 anthrax attacks in several U.S. cities. Ms. Guest first joined the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in 1998 as a Presidential Management Intern.
