Ms. Kern is a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) fellow in the Office of the Associate Director's Communications Team. In this capacity, she will assist with development and dissemination of information related to EGRP's scientific priorities and initiatives.

Prior to joining EGRP, Ms. Kern worked as a graduate consultant with the Cambridge Public Health Department to develop an evidence-based communication plan for the Men's Health League, a health and wellness program targeting African American men. She also worked as a research assistant at Emerson College. During her undergraduate and graduate programs, Ms. Kern completed a variety of short internships to gain experience in various aspects of communication, including development and evaluation of patient education materials for the Steward Health Care System, developing web content for James Madison University's Student Health Center, and managing a Twitter account for the American Red Cross in Norfolk, VA.
