Biography

Crystal Lane, MS, MPH, is a public health advisor in the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program's (EGRP) Office of the Associate Director (OAD).

In this role, she works closely with the associate and deputy directors on operations and scientific activity planning. Crystal manages EGRP’s in-house budget and financial management plan. She also provides programmatic support in areas of project implementation and monitoring, policy clarification, acquisition procedures, meeting coordination, and return to workplace efforts.

Prior to joining EGRP, Ms. Lane was a public health analyst and project officer at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), first for the Maternal and Child Health Bureau and then for the HIV/AIDS Bureau. At HRSA, she managed research and health care delivery grants, provided oversight and evaluation of public health programs, planned and coordinated grant recipient meetings, and chaired staff training and professional development workgroups.

Ms. Lane first joined NCI in 2014 as a Cancer Research Training Award fellow in EGRP where she provided technical assistance for cancer epidemiology cohorts and consortia special projects.
