  • NIH Office of Extramural Research
    Provides the corporate framework for NIH research administration, ensuring scientific integrity, public accountability, and effective stewardship of the NIH extramural research portfolio. This site contains information about grants, grants policy, funding, and forms and deadlines.
  • NCI Division of Extramural Activities
    DEA provides the scientific community expert review of the merits of extramural research, procedures, and policies. This site contains information about extramural funding opportunities, advisory boards and groups, consumer guides for peer review, and FAQs.
  • NIH Grants Policy Statement
    The NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIHGPS) provides NIH grantees, in a single document, the policy requirements that serve as the terms and conditions of grant awards. This document also is useful to those interested in grants by providing information about NIH—its organization, staff, and grants process.
  • Foreign Grants Information
    This site is focused on those elements of the grants process specific to foreign applicants/grantees.
  • Genomic Data Sharing Policy Home Page
    To promote sharing of human and non-human genomic data and to provide appropriate protections for research involving human data, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued the Genomic Data Sharing (GDS) Policy on August 27, 2014. This website supports the policy's implementation.
  • Sharing Research Data
    The final NIH statement on sharing research data is provided (February 26, 2003).
  • Intellectual Property Policy
    This site contains links to policies and information related to invention reporting, relevant NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts notices, and staff contacts.
  • Financial Conflict of Interest
    Contains current regulations and proposed changes to financial conflict of interest regulations, relevant NIH Guide notices, and information on reporting and other resources.
  • Public Access Policy
    The policy ensures that the public has access to the published results of NIH funded research. This site helps investigators learn how to comply with the policy.
