Ms. Gwendolyn Alexandre is a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) fellow in the Epidemiology and Genomics Research Program's (EGRP) Office of the Associate Director (OAD). In this capacity, she works as part of a team to support coordination, planning, evaluation, and analysis of various programmatic, scientific, and planning activities across EGRP, including EGRP’s strategic planning and implementation processes. Ms. Alexandre is particularly interested in disease epidemiology and surveillance, global health, health disparities, immigrant/migrant/refugee health, non-communicable diseases, women’s health, and water and sanitation hygiene.

Prior to joining EGRP, Ms. Alexandre was a program assistant with the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics in the Healthy Teeth, Healthy Children program. During her time there, she assisted with quality improvement initiatives for children in the oral health sector through effective project management, qualitative and quantitative surveillance and evaluation reporting, and annual reporting to both federal and private funders. She also served as a liaison with external evaluation partners, grassroots partners, and stakeholders.
