Researcher data are protected using industry standard security controls. The communication between the DHQ III server and the respondent’s computer and all data entered into the DHQ III system database are encrypted.
Limited information about the use of the DHQ III system is collected automatically, primarily for monitoring the software's performance and usage patterns. This information is helpful when troubleshooting bugs and considering future updates and improvements. The following information about DHQ III user access is collected and stored automatically:
- date and time of access
- type of browser
- operating system
- screen resolution
- IP address -- often the IP address is that of the user's Internet Service Provider (ISP)
